• need for a leader (informal / formal)
• client sets themes / objectives/ parameters
• preplanning !!! identify facilitation styles / strengths - no surprises
• workshop consistency critical
• seamless, teachable moment protocol
• debrief & brief after and before each session
• make differences an asset - facilitators & participants
